Yesterday, I spent the evening with Alan Scotland hearing about the wonderful work of LifeLink International and Opportunity to Hope. I would like more information about the grant application process.

As a member of Living Word Church in Lansing, Illinois; I have been on several mission trips to Argentina. Last year, God provided a braille writer machine for a child who is blind and goes to a special school for the blind in Rosario, Argentina. In assisting this family with their needs, I was made aware of the needs of other children enrolled at the school. There are approximately 15 other children in need of braille writers at the school.

Is this the kind of project that O2H might be interested in? I've contacted other international groups who assist the blind and no one is interested in providing support for such a small project. Please provide me with some feedback if possible. Thanks!! God bless you and your work!!

Katherine, thank you for your question. O2H does accept similar requests for grants from the UK. A Management Board meet throughout the year and consider individual grant requests from our members. In order to be a recipient of a grant you must be a member of O2h for atleast 3 months and committed for 12 months thereafter.

For details on O2h membership visit the O2H section of this site and read through the guidelines and criteria for funding information. We also have a leaflet which you can download which outlines how you can become a member.

At the moment our membership is limited to the UK because of the chalenge of administrating funds through the states and the costs that this incurs. I will however mention your interest to the Board on the 4th of Feb and we can discuss possible options outside of the UK.

If you know anyone in the UK who is a member, perhaps you can inform and inspire them of your project and maybe they can apply to the O2H management Board. The dates of our meeting are also listed in the O2h section of the site. I hope this helps! Best wishes,
Kristina
