Ben Nevis Conquered
The Watt family from Histon climbed Ben Nevis during half term to raise money for an orphanage in Zimbabwe. New Life Church that meets in Histon Baptist Church on Sunday afternoons, have links with the project that is in desperate need of funds.

Gemma (13), Zak (10) and Joe (9) took 7 hours to go up and down Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain standing at 1344metres. Joe, who recently won the Battle of the Poets competition representing Histon & Impington Junior School, has written a poem about their experiences.
BEN NEVIS
Ben Nevis is
Ludicrously long
Super steep
Helplessly hard
Terribly tiring
It is rocky like a rough, raging Rhino
And is GINORMOUS like a giraffe.
It is also taller than a tyrannosaurus rex.
BUT
It is incredibly exciting
Fabulous fun
Amazingly awesome
It also has a breathtaking view
But the best thing about climbing
Ben Nevis is when you get to the bottom!!!
They would like to thank all who sponsored them and helped them raise over £600 for the orphanage.
