BCW's Distance Learning Programme

Introduction

BCW’s distance learning programme provides flexible learning for those interested in studying theology from the comforts of their own home. It is a comprehensive course that can be studied at different tiers, enabling you to choose a study programme which best suits your needs.

Tier one

Is non-accredited, and you can get started on this straight away at any point during the year. All you need to do is buy the materials and begin your self-study. This tier of study is ideal also for studying within groups as you can set the pace at which you learn. Whether you are in full-time ministry already or are just looking for a programme to help strengthen your knowledge of the bible, this tier provides you with everything you need to get started with self-led study.

Tier two

Enables you to to gain a validated qualification from The Bible College of Wales. This will not be accredited by a University, however you will be required to submit assignments and will be able to gain a Certificate in Theological Studies. At tier two you will benefit from tutor online support and will be able to register with other BCW DL students and discuss assignments online through BCW’s distance learning forum.

Tier three

Is for students who wish to gain a university level accreditation as part of the B.Th. Programme in Minsitry studies, accredited by Bangor University. You will be required to submit assignments and attend BCW’s distance learning study weekend. Entry at this level may require submission of a test essay.
